About Us
Vegan Juju was inspired by an overnight hospital stay, when the founder, Brenda Tassava Medina had to undergo surgery in December 2017. During her stay, despite being clearly designated as a vegan the hospital served Brenda a “regular” diet all three meals. Sending each meal back, Brenda was amazed at the hospital team’s lack of knowledge and understanding of what a vegan meal represented.
If human health care professionals struggle with what being vegan means, then it’s no wonder people believe it’s difficult to do. Vegan Juju is a company that was founded to support and aid anyone and everyone who wishes to explore, transition to, and maintain a vegan lifestyle. No matter your original motivation (personal health, animal rights, or a sustainable environment), Vegan Juju is here to help you succeed!
Brenda Tassava Medina
Founder and Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator
Brenda is a certified vegan lifestyle coach and educator, based in Richmond Hill, GA. After years of struggling with asthma and borderline Type II diabetes, Brenda became vegan in 2017 after hearing an inspirational keynote presentation at WDS by Rich Roll. With the support of a great health care team, she has resolved all her breathing issues and reversed her borderline diabetic condition. Today, she is fit and healthy, off of all prescription medications and helping others to adopt a healthy vegan lifestyle. A lifelong environmental advocate and animal lover, Brenda and her family founded Vegan Juju to not only help people live vegan lifestyles, but to also give back and support organizations that are dedicated to improved health, animal rights, and a sustainable environment through vegan living.

Jesi is the Brand Manager and co-founder of Vegan Juju and she resides in Vancouver, WA. Jesi maintains a very active lifestyle, by training for half marathons and enjoying fitness classes at her local gym, as well as hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest. She loves trying new plant-based recipes and cooking with foods she knows bring better sustainability to our planet. The more she learns the more deeply she cares about the environment, and the impact that our modern society has created on issues such as global warming, air pollution and animal agriculture. She hopes to spread the word about the benefits that a plant-based diet and lifestyle can have for the environment, as well as to give back to organizations that fight for the sustainability of our planet.
